Associate Optometrist
Overview
We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and motivated Optometrist to join our growing team. We are a full dispensing practice located in the heart of Richmond Hill. All pre-testing (AR, TBUT, Topography, Lipiscan, OCT, HVF, Retinal imaging) and insurance billing are carried out by our helpful team of Optometric Assistants and Dispensing staff.
Our Doctors enjoy working in an environment with the latest technology and high end products. We see patients of all ages and also offer Myopia control and Dry Eye Management and specialty Contact lens fitting. We are offering Lipiscan, Lipiflow, RF and IPL treatment and Red light therapy in our dry eye spa! Flexible hours make for a great work/life balance. We would like to bring an Optometrist on board who is also interested in growing the practice and is enthusiastic and committed in providing the highest level of care for patients. Full time and Part time positions available.
As an Optometrist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive eye care to patients. Your expertise in diagnosing and treating eye conditions will help improve the vision and overall well-being of individuals. You will have the opportunity to work closely with patients, offering personalized recommendations for their eye health. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess visual acuity.
Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions.
Provide appropriate treatment plans for patients, including prescribing corrective lenses.
Educate patients on eye health, proper lens care, and preventive measures.
Maintain accurate patient records using medical terminology and electronic health record systems such as Epic.
Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Assist in the sales of optical products, providing recommendations based on patient needs.
Skills
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry.
Experience in pediatrics and senior care is highly desirable.
Proficient in patient care practices with a focus on quality service delivery.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients and provide clear instructions.
Sales skills related to optical products will be beneficial for this role.
Familiarity with optical equipment and procedures is essential.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of optometry.
