Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Ophthalmic Receptionist / Technician to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a dual-role position combining front desk reception duties with hands-on clinical support. Prior experience is an asset, but we are happy to train the right candidate who is motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, and manage phone/email inquiries

Perform patient pre-testing and diagnostic imaging (OCT, visual fields, retinal photos)

Assist doctors during exams and procedures

Maintain accurate patient records using our electronic medical record system

Educate patients about eyewear, contact lenses, and eye health

Support clinic flow and ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications:

Previous ophthalmic or medical office experience preferred, but not required (training provided)

Strong communication and organizational skills

Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude

Comfort with computers and learning new software

Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
