Currently Seeking Future Candidates for Permanent Full Time Associate Optometrist

0 days ago Dr. Peter DiPasquale Optometry PC Associate Optometrist, Full-time, Permanent, Ontario

Currently seeking: Future candidates for permanent full time associate optometrist, at Dr. Peter DiPasquale Optometry PC in rural Amherstburg, ON. Earliest start date is estimated at January 2026 or beyond, due to upcoming renovations.

Why Choose Us?

  • Competitive Compensation: You will be an independent contractor and will be GENEROUSLY remunerated based on the percentage of gross revenue you produce. If you’re still not sure about working here, this percentage can be negotiated.
  • Positive Work Environment: Our office culture fosters a supportive and collaborative team environment. Our experienced and knowledgeable support staff ensure you can focus on what you do best - providing exceptional patient care in a professional environment. We also have advanced equipment which includes a Topcon Omnia pre-tester, an iVue OCT, a Humphrey VF, eVisionCare EMR, and we’ll soon acquire a slit lamp camera to enhance your clinical care of our patients.
  • Professional Growth Opportunities: We offer specialization support if you’re currently (or wishing to pursue) specializing or sub-specializing (like dry eye care or myopia control). As of now our office is strictly general optometry… but if you’re passionate about branching out, we’ll invest in you.
  • Strong Practice Reputation: We strive on putting 100% of our energy into patient care by maintaining a high standard of thoroughness and compassion to maximize patient satisfaction. We also plan on investing into a stronger online presence via a new informative website and more consistent social media engagement, which will ensure a positive online reputation with good reviews.
  • Attractive Location: Our practice is in the heart of downtown Amherstburg, walking distance from Canada Post and most of the major banks. It’s one of the safest and cleanest communities in the country, with water views of the Detroit River to our west and Lake Erie to our south. It is a very well kept and clean community. Everywhere you go, you will find friendly people who are always willing to help you. It offers great schools, lots of kid friendly activities, and housing costs are significantly less than in Toronto. There are no traffic jams, and you can get to the clinic from anywhere in town in less than 10 minutes. Retirees from the Toronto area have recently been moving here, and it’s a perfect place for a new family to grow roots. Our county is also famous for its rural wineries, and Windsor and Detroit are only a 30-minute drive north if you prefer a big city that has all four major sports teams. If you’re interested in moving here for this position and need relocation assistance, please reach out to us and we’ll try to figure something out.
  • Family Legacy: My father founded this practice around 46 years ago, and I bought it from him almost five years ago to continue our family optometric legacy. My sister is an associate here as well. We have almost 13,000 patients and my other two associates are part-time, so we're confident on filling a five- or six-day schedule for a new full-time associate.
  • Incentives and Perks: A signing bonus may be offered if you’re still on the fence about moving here and working with us. Please contact us if this factors into your choice, and hopefully we can work something out. Work environment perks are also included, like free prescription glasses for yourself and immediate family every year after at least one year of working with us.
  • Inclusive and Diverse Culture: Our diversity and inclusion initiatives are quite simple: we are not hiring based on race, religion, gender, or ideology. Besides being fluent in English, our applicants will only be judged by their clinical expertise and patient care. We promise an equal opportunity for all candidates regardless of background.

A Little About Me (Dr. P. DiPasquale):

  • I graduated in 2009 from Illinois College of Optometry.
  • I’m the clinic owner and operator.
  • I grew up in Amherstburg and now live in Windsor.
  • I love hockey and soccer: I used to play competitive ball hockey as a goalie and was also a soccer goalkeeper. My favourite teams are the Maple Leafs and FC Inter, and I always support Canada and Italy (men and women) for international hockey and soccer. In fact, I plan on taking a month off in the summer of 2026 to travel North America during the World Cup.
  • I’m a huge nerd and I love video games, anime, grunge and metal music, and superheroes. If you have even a passing interest in these things, be sure to strike up a conversation!

If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in a longstanding family-run practice while enjoying a great quality of life, we want to hear from you!  We can easily arrange a meeting time so I can show you the clinic and the area in person.
